Sim Controller not responding

I've suddenly run into a problem (new machine/install) where testing an AIR 3.3 for iOS app via the desktop simulator is impossible. SimController launches as expected and then simply locks-up eventaully forcing me to quit the application. The compiled app works just fine on actual devices, I just can't seem to get the simular working.

Any thoughts as to what might be going on?

- Flash Professional CS6

- AIR 3.3.0.3650 for iOS

- Mac OS X 10.7.4

- 2.7 Ghz Intel Core i7

I don't think there is a built in way in Flash Pro to make an app that uses the iOS Simulator. You have to use the command line. The SimController window is not used when testing with the iOS Simulator.

Hi Colin, sorry - too many simulators and I wasn't terribly clear. I'm not at all concerned with the iOS Simulator - it's the Flash CS6 SimController that isn't responding when testing from Flash CS6, aka 'Cmd + Enter'. Makes it terribly difficult to test, and having to constantly publish to the device for testing isn't really going to be an option long-term.

UPDATE:

In doing a little more digging it would appear that I can't seem to get adl to fully launch either (it's shown in Activity Monitor but no window ever appears), for desktop or mobile testing. I'm beginning to suspect the problem with SimController may be linked to adl not launching and creating the required connection to SimController, etc.

I also found this post on the Flash Forum(s) that sounds quite similar:
