i was prompted to update adobe air, i was unable to, so i removed air think this would resolve the issue.

When i now try to install the lastest version i get this error.  I have looked thru numerous options on the Adobe Forums and have not had any luck with any of the other suggestions to fix this.  Ive run CCcleaner for the registry, System Mechanical Pro,Microsoft Fix it,Revo Uninstaller...and still same error.

Thank you for providing the install log and I'm sorry you're running into problems here.  The cause of the failure is due to an MSI (Microsoft's installer technology) error that's being thrown.  Usually this can be resolved by running Microsoft's Installer Fix-It (see link below.)  After starting the tool, you run through the uninstall process and the utility will clean out all of the old and broken registry entries that are causing the MSI error to occur.  I'm not sure if this will still work for you though, given that you've already tried to uninstall.  Give it a try and see.

Microsoft Install and Uninstall Fix It

If it doesn't work, the next step would be to create a new, temporary user account.  Log into the new account, install AIR, then log back into your normal account.  If AIR installs, it should be accessible to you in both accounts.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the reply, tried both options and no luck.

Microsoft install/uninstall - didnt detect any problems.

I got the same error message, when i logged into the other guest account on my system and ran the install.
