StageWebView scroll performance

I am using the StageWebView to load in some HTML content but noticing that the scroll performance on my Nexus 5 running Android L or Nexus 7 running 4.4 is pretty laggy and unresponsive.  I would have thought I would get native scroll smoothness.  Anyone else have this issue?  I tried different rendermodes but that didnt seem to help.
