startup flash to black on iPhone 5

With the release AIR 17 SDK I see my iPhone 5 splash screen when I open the app, but instead of seamlessly continuing to the same image in the timeline, there's a black screen shown for a moment. This doesn't happen on iPad. Not sure whether it would happen on other iPhone models.

Is this a known issue?

Hey, I just tried something as a hunch. I had been following this article:

iOS | Adobe AIR on Mobile

which says to use Default-568h@2x~iphone.png instead of Default-568h@2x.png. Turns out that's not a good idea, and it may be a problem on other devices too. I added Default-568h@2x.png and that stopped the black screen from appearing. Makes me worried about using ~iphone for other splash images.

I'll log a bug.
