Text Greeking Problem in Air

Question

A program developed in Flash and running in AIR allows a user to choose videos and images to display on screen.  Videos run fine but text in images greeks (deforms).  I suspect it is because the size of image is getting changed and therefore text gets trashed.  Any ideas on fixing, avoiding, working around problem?
