Thank you for the heads up and the bug report.  Do you know if this is new behavior in 3.6?  I'll ask someone on the team to take a look at the bug report.  If anyone else runs into this, please take a moment and add a comment/vote to the bug report.

I have the same bug with Air 3.1, 3.3, android 4.1.2

I have comments on Google play :

Duplicate     Can't save text correctly because it duplicates words. To get the word I want I have to type it, then hit back five or six times to get it to stop, then it starts again. Samsung Galaxy S II

Duplication     Duplicate words and digits all the time. Please fix the duplication thing. HTC One X

On Samsung S3     Currently back spacing or cutting text causes the word to duplicate Samsung Galaxy S III

I have the same problem on Windows with the Android Emulator (AVD of Android SDK) when I create AVD with Galaxy Nexus or Nexus 7 and "Hardware keyboard present" is disabled.
