The app "ABC" was not installed on the iPad "DEF" because the signer is not valid

I'm getting this isssue when attempting to install the app via iTunes onto an iPad2 here in the office. I've tried other devices (iPod Touch 4th gen, iPad1 and iPhone 4)  and they work fine.

Any suggestions or help will be much apreciated.

Thanks,

Yuri

Hello again...

Thanks for the tutorials, I've been going through them figuring out next steps.

A this point I'm not sure about something...if I create a new AppID, will I need to create a new .p12 to sign with?

The app id is only associated with the provisioning profile. The .p12 is connected to a valid signing certificate. You only redo the .p12 cert when you've modified your signing cert in the iOS portal (this rarely happens).

The key is to make sure you have the latest version of the provisioning profile that you've modified, with the corresponding signing cert.

You want to double check that your provisioning profiles allows that specific ipad access to the app, and that the provisioning profile indeed been dragged into itunes.

Indeed, the device is added in the provisioning profile...I should also mention that this is for ad-hoc distribution

Did you sign the app with the correct Distribution certificate that matches the Ad Hoc Provisioning Profile?

Hi,

Can you confirm that the iPad2 UDID is included in the device list and that it's been added to the provisioning profile?
