timeline stream audio cuts out in AIR 3.8

Have any of you used timeline audio that is set to Stream (as opposed to Event for example)? I'm finding that the sound cuts out after a very short time. When it does cut out the iOS volume slider (to the left of all the recent app icons) has no thumb.

Fortunately, this may have been a false alarm. There seems to be something wrong with my iPad, and sound was not only cutting off with AIR 3.6, it was cutting off when using non-AIR apps too. So, hopefully things are ok with AIR. At least I have yet another reason to upgrade my iPad when there are new models!
