UIBackgroundModes "location" not working anymore

With the latest AIR SDK (21) my app does no longer receive geolocation updates when the app is being put to the background on a device running iOS 9.3.1. I have created a bug here: Bug#4136086 - UIBackgroundModes "location" not working

Please Adobe have a look because this makes our affected app pretty useless.
