urgent help needed. Android soft keyboard overlaps text input

Just submitted an iOS app .. went to publish the Android APK next and everything is fine except the soft keyboard overlaps input text.  Is there a ix for this? All the articles I can see on this are 2 years old and I am yet to see a working solution.

Hoping someone has found a fix in the last 2 years.. anyone know how to fix this issue?

    Hi Applauz78,


    I'm going to go ahead and assume some other details.


    Your render mode is set to GPU.

    You have a textfield on the lower half of the screen.

    When the softkeyboard rises, it overlays the textfield.

    You have left the "softKeyboardBehavior" default to pan, because you would like for when you give focus to a textfield that is on the lower half of the screen, and the softkeyboard rises... you want the app to "pan" up so your textfield is revealed.


    Well unfortunately buddy, just like I was (coming up on 2 years ago).... you and me are out of luck. This is a KNOWN bug that Adobe has straight up ackknowledge and refused to fix. Bug#3627285 - Textfield Bug on GPU with softkeyboard pan


    In there own words "Fixed this problem will bring some new unexpected issues , consider this reason we will defer it"


    Your "solution" is to convert every input textfield you have to be stagetextfield... which... if your like me with 6-7 datagrids of editable text, 8-9 complex forms with many many input fields... completely not an option.


    We have unfortunately since that time re-written the app for Android Natively because of this 1 bug.

    Does anyone know how to fix this? This is a major problem in my Android app

    Hi Applauz78‌,

    I have created a sample project for Text Input and it is working fine on 4.4 device, but the issue exist in Android 5.0 Samsung s4 device.

    Please let us know if this is a device specific bug.
