VideoDisplay.attachCamera Fix

I have a bunch of older AIR apps I am trying to rebuild and it looks like VideoDisplay.attachCamera has not worked in almost a decade.... Is there any work arounds for this? I cant seem to get StageVideo to show either.

None of the examples online work with anything newer than the SDK that came with Flex Builder.

Since AIR 24 the way permissions work has changed. It was done in order to support Android 6, but it was done in a cross platform way. Which means that even though you didn't used to need to do those permissions things to support iOS, you do now.

Read the Permissions on Android and iOS part of this document:

Moving to the AIR forums.  You'll probably get a better answer here.  AFAIK, camera support isn't broken, but I wouldn't be shocked if some of the documentation is stale.  If you can point me to a URL, I'd be happy to ask someone to take a look.

If you want to describe the problem in more detail (like with a code snippet and/or error), it would probably be easier to give you some specific advice.

there is no problem to use these function today, I use it on Flash since a decade too..

so the fix would come from some code issues to update since AIR/Flash improved a lot since a decade
