i was wondering what program you guys use to draw things for your games

Wow someone actually creates work in Flash, it has the worst drawing tools of all the Adobe programs. I use Photoshop for pixel work and Illustrator for vector work then everything gets imported into flash.

Also while we are talking software can someone explain to me why Fireworks exists? I have been using Adobe tools for 10 years professionally and have never needed fireworks yet it comes with everything.

My animator is doing drawing into Flash, not laying down neat vectors. Then he'll make key frames, and change what needs changing, and very rapidly creates a walk cycle, for example. Not sure he could work quite that fast in Illustrator.
