I'm completely crazy voviendo with this problem.

I develop my app with flash cs6 - air3.2 in Windows 7 64 and install with "ICU" (iPhone Configuration Utility). Everything worked well at first, but after a certain point, when I run on my iPhone App i see a previous version of the app, not the version I just compiled.

The error is very clear:

a) Once I add the app to ICU, the name of the app and the version number is not correct, is of an earlier version.

b) When I install the app on my device, the app is not the version I just compiled, but an earlier one.

c) how many times you repeat, it's always the same old version (2.0.0 in my case).

d) I have looked into. "ipa" file ("/ Playload / MyApp.app / Info.plist") version number (CFBundleShortVersionString), name of the app (CFBundleIdentifier), etc. and see everything right.

These are the things I've tried:

1) Find someone who had a similar problem, with no luck.

2) Perform all steps carefully.

3) Delete any file concerning the problematic previous version of the app (. Fla. Swf. Xml ...).

4) Install the app on a device that was never installed.

5) Reconfigure "Air 3.2 for iOS settings".

6) Find something wrong in the "ipa" file: / Playload / MyApp.app / Info.plist ".

7) Reboot and re-intall ICU...

I know this problem seems almost magical, but it took over 10 hours invested in seeking a solution and I'm really desperate. Any advice please?

Thank you all in advance!

EDITED: ok, I test the same app in other computer, and the app is now correct. So, the problem is generated by ICU... Any similar experience or advice?

EDITED 2: Ooook. I've change the name to the .ipa file and now ICU has react and show me the correct name and version...

Your not alone!

I had the identical issue with iPhone config Utility on windows 7 64bit.

A virtual macOS on the same machine didn't have a problem, windows iTunes didnt have a problem. Just a glitch with ICU on windows

I tried everything you did and the only thing that fixed it was to change the appID or app name (I forget which I did).

I don't know where that old app data is stored on the machine, but I deleted all apps, uninstalled/reinstalled ICU and it still would populate and install the old ipa.

I also still periodically get weird errors/glitches deploying to iOS on windows.

It's like some days I need to deploy with ICU, sometimes iTunes, sometimes I need to run the VM mac... SOO frustrating.

It always works one way or another, so the app itself is always fine.

I guess I really need to look into that new direct deployment option...

same problem! solution I found also was changing the name of the ipa. so now I'm going to name my apps app0001.ipa app0002.ipa etc.

EDIT: actually I'm starting to think that iPCU only acted strangely when the file name was the same as the app ID in the xml
