Question

Why can't I install Adobe Air on my Mac OS X 10.4.11 ?

Hi,

I've now tried several times to instal the program and even followed some advice given to someone else with a similar problem but it still doesn't work, when I download the program I double click to instal the program and it says: "You cannot open the application "Adobe Air Installer" because it is not supported on this system." Why is this happening ? How can I sole the problem ?

Thank you

Matthew

Hi Matthew,

the first question is either you're on Intel or PowerPC based OS X 10.4.*?

The other is what version of Adobe AIR you're trying to install.

note: Adobe is phasing out support for PowerPC in Flash platform:

To follow up with what Peter said, if you do have a PPC machine the last version of AIR that is supported for that CPU is 1.5.3 which you can download here.

Thanks,

Chris
