Why the new logoes of the AIR and Flash Player runtimes are very dark themed?

Hi Adobe,

Could you explain why the backgrounds of the new logoes are very dark? Is there a particular reason for that?


Does the dark background stands for "Black Horse" or "Old and Dying"?

No reason that I know of other than the UI team wanted to try and align the products using similar color schemes.  I believe all of the free products will have a darker/muted color scheme.
