Will the newest version of AIR work with CS4?

Or do I have to upgrade to CS5.5? I'm pretty new to AS3 and the world of mobile development, so please bear with me. I'm interested in porting a game I developed for desktops to the App Store.

Hi,

people are downloading newer SDK and then do manual hocus-pocus to get it working with older development tool, see e.g. that entry for 2.5:

http://forums.adobe.com/thread/745398

CS4 simply does not contain many user interface dialogs that make development with Air ADT (ADT is development tool which is command-line based) a lot easier and faster - without them you would probably work with them editing them manually, etc, etc (and there are many distinctive settings for each platform to be set including many that are tiny in differences when using only .xml application descriptor).

I believe that Adobe advertises CS5 or newer (as 5.5) as mobile-ready platform for Air development (older CS* and current CS are *mobilized* in terms of Flash Lite though).

hth,

regards,

Peter
