Question

WINDOWS 10 - .air files does not open with Adobe Air - and I can't select the app on "more apps"

HI,

I'm running Windows 10 64 bits, and have the Adobe Creative Cloud.
I tried to install Adobe Air several times, but after the program was installed, I can't find it.
It is not on the Common Files directory on Program Files.

Also, when I try to run a .air file, it does not appear on the app list.
What should I do?

Thank you

Hi,

I tried to reproduce the same behaviour as you are observing but could not see the same. Tried in Portuguese locale machine as well. I needed few information from your machine. Could you tell me the seed number of windows 10 on which you are seeing the issue. To get the seed number please open cmd as admininstrator. The first string would be something like "Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.10240]". Please let us know the same.

Also please open regedit and traverse to path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Adobe AIR. There would be an InstallLocation key. Go to the key value mentioned and see if any files are present.

I recommend you to run https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2970908/how-to-use-microsoft-easy-fix-solutions tool and see if it fixes the issues.

Thanks!

Hi, ridhijain.

My Windows 10 version is 10.0.14393.

At regedit, I could not find this Adobe Air folder you mentioned. Here is what I see on the screen, in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall path:

Also, the "fix-it" tool is not available on Windows 10 - https://support.microsoft.com/pt-br/instantanswers/82306bd8-495b-098b-f39c-27bc01338a62/use-a-fix-it-tool-with-windows-1…

Are you able to see "Adobe Air" in the installed programs in Control Panel?

Hi,

Adobe AIR is not getting installed. Do you see any error message when you try installing it?

From where are you downloading it?

Go to get.adobe.com/air , download and install it.

Check again in the control panel list.

Thanks!
