3d in flash?

If there is a 3d rotation tool, then why cant I import an obj file and minpulate it in flash? Does anyone know if there is a plugin that allows me to do that?

    The 3D tools only work in AS3 documents and only manipulate in 2.5D, really. 

    To use actual 3D objects, you can use WebGL document types and then import the 3D files.
