Accessing Canvas Symbols using getElementById

Is there a way to access MovieClip symbols by using getElementById? If so, can I then add CSS to the symbol? I'd like to use CSS for my layout.

Hi.

Symbols are objects that exist inside a canvas element, so there's no way to use CSS on them.
