Hi.

Please double check if you are trying to use the Subselection Tool in a raw shape and not in a symbol instance or group, for example.

Try double-clicking the element you are trying to edit as much as needed until you are able to select its fill or shape.

If you are already selecting a raw shape, make sure to hold Alt (Option) while you drag a point to get the handles in straight corners.
