Adobe Animate 2022: Can't hear audio in timeline even though it says stream

Hello, I'm having an issue with Adobe Animate 2022. When I scrub through my audio file in the timeline or play my animation, I don't hear anything. I already have the audio set to stream. I can only hear my audio when I export my animation as a swf file. I didn't have this issue in the past, and this is an issue no matter what .fla file I open. I worked on my animations a few days ago and didn't have any issues with the audio until now. I'm not sure if this is a problem with Adobe Animate or with my macbook's audio settings. I already updated Animate to the latest version.

1. Disable automatic updates. In this way you will always know when you initiate an update, and when something like that happens, you will be aware that adobe has released a buggy update.

2. Go back to the previous version 22.0.2.

With software, drowning in hundreds of bugs like Animate is, you need to be version aware and control the update events and timing as much as you can. Letting a corporation push them onto you can cause unwanted loss of data and time.
