Adobe Animate Brush Size control

I can't find a way to adjust my brush size. There is no preset brush sizes in my tool box. The user manual says you can adjust the brush sizes by accessing the Properties window but there's nothing in mine to do this. I'm a long time used of Animate but this has me stumped. I'm assuming this must bne some bug bur there's no relelationship between what I'm seeing and the documentation online.
