Adobe Animate file opening error

Question

So, I was working in a game with Adobe Animate but when I tried to open the file again I had this message saying: "an error occurred opening the file".
I tried the .fla to .rar repairing thing but it didn't work at all, is there any other way I can fix it? Cause I don't want to start my project again.

you can look for a recovery* file, but if that fails, and you tried the correct repair steps, you're out of luck.

p.s. learn to name your fla files with increasing version number appended, so this never happens again.

open AutoRecoverFilenames.txt** and see if there was a saved file and, if so, check the folder location listed

mac:

Users/<username>/Application Support/Adobe/<animate/flash version>/en_US/Configuration/
