Adobe Animate fla file completely gone

I had an animation i was working on for the past few weeks. Everything is going fine and i save it regularly. I have restarted my computer a few times during this and I am still able to access my file. Now, upon restarting my computer again, I find no evidence that the file was ever there. No recovery files, not even the original file i saved. It is so unbelievably annoying to see that my files have completely disappeared off my computer after a simple restart, and this is specific to animate as a gif i had saved part of it as is still on my computer. Is there any help i can get for this?
