Adobe Animate Freezes up during gif exporting

Hi all! Im new to adobe animate so bare with me please! Im just going over some of the in-program tutorials and I cant seem to export into a gif? Its literally the pig flying or the girl jumping tutorials, super easy small files. It begins to render when I hit 'export gif' but then stops every time at 60%, regardless of the tutorial im on and frezzes until I Ctrl+Alt+Esc my way out of there. Anyone heard of this before? WELP!
