Question

Adobe Animate is deleting my files

The problem has been going on since yesterday. It deletes any files that I have saved and used recently. When I first open adobe it will display the file in open recents list and then it will say "File does not exist and will be removed from list.". I cannot find my old files on my finder (I use MacBook Pro). I have even made a new file yesterday that got deleted this morning. I hope there's an easy solution other than "save often" as that's what I do.

how do you know animate is deleting your files?  eg, it's much more likely some security software is deleting your fla files, if they are being deleted.

to start testing, check your deleted files/trash folder.  if non-security software (like animate) deleted the file, it will be in your trash.  if security software deleted (or more likely sequestered your file), it will be elsewhere and probably un-discoverable by you without help.

if that doesn't answer your question, create a new directory on your desktop.  create a fla file, give it some content and save (with a new name) to that new directory.  shut down your computer and restart it.  is the new file deleted?  is the new directory deleted?
