Adobe Animate keeps freezing my computer

Whenever Adobe Animate is not responding for a certain amount of time, it causes my pc to freeze. I don't know why that happens. My computer is only 1.8 months old, has 1.75 terabytes of free space and is running at an average speed. Is it because of a virus or something? How do I prevent my pc from freezing when Adobe Animate is not responding?

Hey so the problem might be that you didnt purge unused items in the file library and its eating RAM.  Solution: Hit Ctrl L (library)>Top Right>(Select Unused Items)> it will the highlight all the objects still in your file that are not currently on the canvass, then right click and hit delete.  Restart Animate.

This should purgue all unused items, will bring down file memory size, and hopefully free up the lag.

Im having major issues too, i have a basic text with mask auto animating when you click a more button to reveal the text field and it takes 1.5min. Its also now happening with drag on a scroll bar. There is no heavy animations and its unusable. You cant show this to a client!

Shouldn't the question be "why is Adobe Animate not responding" in the first place?

What do you actually mean by "Adobe Animate is not responding for a certain amount of time"? Is it not reponding according to your Task Manager? And you try to do things in Animate but it's not working, not reponding.

Or does it mean, Animate is running in the background but you are working in other apps and after a while your computer freezes?

I believe the first one is what he/she meant. If that's the case do you have any solution?   I have a similar issue when I use paint brush tool for a stop motion animation. the software would freeze it self during processing stroke ( the typical gray out win 10 freezing ).

Sometimes it would bring down the system with it. And the weird part is my CPU is running at 20% max overall that each core shares its   load.  Not a typical single core app behavior right?
