Adobe Animate not responding on start up

hello i need support

i am having issues with adobe animate, it loads up incredibly slowly and immediately says not responding, i recently tried to open a 150mb files and it took 2 minutes to open after being stuck on not responding, i have a good PC and its not a capability issue. 

i have tried to reinstall and deleted preferences (didn't work) even tried splitting up my animation to make the files sizes smaller but it still loads up incredibly slowly. 

i have dealt with this for months but i am currently at my witts end as the app is performing incredibly slow and I am behind on a cartoon that i am working on.

any help would be much appreciated
