adobe animate playback is jumping to the end

hi! im having a bit of trouble with adobe animate. whenever i try to hit play, instead of playing the entire animation, it just jumps to the end. this is really frustrating, because just a few hours ago it was working fine. (here's a video of the problem just in case im not explaining it very well)
