Adobe Animate Plugin For Actionscript 2.0

Dear Adobe, I have been wondering if there is a way to add a plugin for actionscript 2.0 in Adobe Animate.

I am well aware that actionscript 2.0 has been wiped out of existence for Adobe Animate versions, but I am fond of actionscript 2.0, and I have been wondering if there is a way to add it back, or a plugin to be installed.

    Is there a way? Probably.

     

    Are they going to? No. The only way you can still develop AS2 code is to "find" a copy of Flash CS6 or earlier.

     

    With the death of Flash Player, even AS3 is edging toward obsolecscence. You should forget about AS2 and concentrate on learning the Canvas mode's CreateJS API.
