Adobe Animate Pressure Sensitivity Isn't Working

I'm currently operating on a Cintiq 22HD and the pressure sensitivity isn't working specifically in Animate CC. The sensitivity works perfectly in every other software. The option is on my tool bar and when I turn it on, everything appears normal until I try to draw. When I go to draw something with the paint tool my cursor switches from the circle with the cross into the regular static circle with no pressure sensitivity. Hopefully it is a simple mistake but I haven't seen any other posts with this same issue.
