Adobe Animate Save file disappeared

Question

So I'm currently working on an animation, and made sure to save every change I made. But for some reason everytime I open up the file, it will show everything but the recent progress I made. I didn't have this problem at first until I tried to back up my file on Google Drive sync folder. I went to move it back to my desktop since I thought that would fix it and save it as a different file but whatever it is, just ended up sticking to my adobe animate file.

Is there anyway to fix it?

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
