Adobe Animate smoothing png when scaling down not working

I am trying to use transparent PNG files in Adobe Animate, however zooming out or scaling them down makes them jagged. I have smoothing enabled, and have tried many different smoothing settings, nothing seems to work. Is it a problem with my computer?

if allow smoothing and lossless compression doesn't work, then you should use a vector, not a bitmap.

 

p.s. you can convert your bitmap to a vector in animate by selecting it>modify>bitmap>trace bitmap.  use settings that your computer can handle and give the result you want.
