Adobe Animate version 21.0.2 crashes when importing video

Hi,

I'm trying to import a video into Adobe Animate for rotoscopying.

But every time I try to import, the program crashes.

I already tried a 30 second with 30 mb video, a 1 sexcond with less than 1 mb video, mp4, m4v, mov, flv formats and it'always the same error.

Is there anything that I can try to do to make it work?

I'm using an iMac 2017 w/ 8gb memory, 3,5 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 and Radeon Pro 575 4 GB

reset your preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/animate/using/set-preferences.html

if that fails (and you confirmed you successfully reset your preferences by resetting a custom keyboard settings, for example),

1. what kind of adobe project (eg, as3, html5 etc)?

2. are you importing to the stage?

I reset all preferences, still didn't work.

I'm using a As3 project.

My pathway is Import > Import Video > Embed H264 > (Symbol Type: Embed Video)

i don't see a problem with those video settings though i wouldn't be surprised that you might have trouble with that low amount of ram and a 30mb video.

otoh, i wouldn't expect a problem with a 1mb video so i'm not sure why you would have trouble (if you used several different short/small videos).
