AIR app discover host IP Addresses to store in a variable

Hey everyone,

I need to find a way for my AIR App to discover the local IP Address(es) and store them in a variable to use later.

I've found: 

public function get address():String

or perhaps the NetworkInterface class using public function get addresses():Vector.<InterfaceAddress>

The above are from Adobe AS3 Reference material.  As I'm still newer to AS3 I'm not sure how to implement this.

If someone can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated!
