an error occurred opening file

ive been working on an animaiton project for the past 12 hours, while exporting the animation the app stopped working and now i cant open the file or the recover file, i tried with winrar repair but did not work , please help 😞 im using adobe animate 2023

if you took the correct sreps to repair and unrar with winrar, there's nothing more that can be done with that damaged fla

 

if your recovery file is also damaged, the best you can do is to prevent this in the future.  if you're ready for that information, let me know.

i may have misled you with my statement: you can't (easily) prevent file corruption, but you can minimize the amount of lost work/time.

 

save fla's frequently with increasing version number appended to the file name. eg, for project1.fla save as project1_v000.fla, project _v001.fla etc

 

periodically close and reopen the last version to confirm it's not corrupted and save to continue to use.

 

if the last version opens okay, it's safe to delete previous versions.

 

if the last version fails, try to open the previous version. repeat this until you find the last uncorrupted version. delete the corrupted versions and continue with the uncorrupted on.

 

any time animate starts to labor to complete a task and every animate improper shutdown is a high likelihood tome for corruption of all opeb fla's
