Animate 2018 CC crashes after trying to load document templates

I've recently installed adobe animate 2018 CC and when i open it, after trying to load "Document templates" The program crashes. I have tried compatibility mode and everything

nope, I am using a windows pc, and now when trying to boot animate 2018, it spits out the following error:

Adobe Application Manager, required to start your trial, is missing or damaged.
Please download a new copy of Adobe Application Manager from http://www.adobe.com/go/applicationmanager.

Keep in mind i am using a standalone installer due to creative cloud not allowing me to install animate 2018.

probably should mention its windows 11. i got the installer and setup to run smoothly.
