Animate 2020 does not launch

So I was working on a project today (29th April 2020) when I clicked on a tool in the toolbar animate 2020 froze.
So I did the classic task manager "end task" and tried to launch it again.
But for some reason it just does not open any more.
The task manager shows that it's running in the background and it's taking up more and more ram but it isn't launching.
I even re-installed it twice. Still nothing.

please someone help me out here
