Animate 2024 can’t read my mp3 audio

Has anyone else had this problem? I have tried every method of importing audio and Animate keeps giving me the same pop-up message, saying that it can't import the audio because there's problems reading it. But it's an mp3. Does anyone know what to do to fix this? I have the most updated version too.
