Animate 2024 Crashing frequently

Hi all! First time posting to a forum for advice like this, but I haven't been able to find anything thus far to fix this issue, so I'm here.


I updated my macbook pro to Sonoma 14.2, and my animate 2024 is up to date (as of dec 2023), but nearly every time I try to use the color swatches, or draw/fill with different colors it crashes unexpectedly. This issue only started as soon as I updated my computer, and I don't have the option to revert back to the last OS I was on. Are there any solutions to this? Thanks so much.

    Is there a solution for this problem already? I have this problem for several months now.

    I have already uninstalled Adobe Animate, cleared the cache, restarted etc.

    Resetting the computer system isn't an option for me.

    Yes, I followed the steps but it didn't change anything.

    remove your preferences:

     

    uninstall animate including preferences per https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

    then restart your computer and reinstall animate and test

    did you confirm your preferences were reset (eg, by a reset of a custom shortcut)?
