Correct answer derekwatson

that's a workspace location or preferences location?

Fixed the issue.
I setup a test user account on Mac, logged in and tried Animated, although first time it crashed again, second time whilst holding CMD-Option-Shift to reset preferences it opened successfully.
Closed Animate and switched back to my user account and it opened the first time.

Hi

I have had the same problem on 2019 Intel Mac. I found that manually installing Osaka font in Font Book stops the crash. I think Adobe is being blocked by MacOS because when I ran Animate as a Guest User, Animate asked to download and install Osaka. As soon as I clicked yes the app would crash. If I clicked no it would load. I switched back to my User, activated Osaka manually and, hey presto, the app now launches.

Hope this helps someone out there.

Jon

Yes, well it appeared to as I started with CMD-Option-Shift and selected remove prefs. I removed all trace of it and reinstalled but same issue

there must be a corrupted work space.

google the workspace locations and see if you can manually delete workspaces.
