Animate Assets panel empty

I have just installed Adobe Animate and it is working OK apart from but my assets panel is empty. None of the default characters (animated or static etc) are there. Plus the 'download assets' button is greyed out.

I have uni-installed and re-installed but it has come back the same.

Any suggestions gratefully recieved!
