Animate CC 2017 suddenly won't recognize my subscription and open please help

I bought Animate CC 2017 last year, installing it on my Windows 8.1 computer. It worked fine all year. Yesterday I went to use it and it keeps trying to verfiy my account and won't let me open the program. It remembers my email address and takes me to my subscription page online where it says my plan is good for another month. But it still won't open the program. I talked to the chat help guy and he didn't know so he sent me here.

    Is says I need to renew the subscription but it still has a few weeks on it. Is it forcing me to renew early? Or is it something else? I don't mind renewing now, but I don't want to renew and still be unable to use it.
