Animate CC axis rotated within symbols

Is it just me, or did adobe change the fact that if you rotate a symbol, the X and Y axis also changes within? Now when i use the selection tool within the symbol the square is based off of the angle the symbol is rotated in. Is this just happening to me? can i revert this change back to the old way? Its very annoying.

    I couldn't reproduce this issue.

    I got Adobe support to fiddle with it, and they too said it isnt normal, was not under their design. After trying to fiddle with it for an afternoon, i do feel i need to reinstall everything since there are certain other issues as well that has popped up over the last couple of months in Animate CC.
