Question

Animate CLAIMS it saves but does not always save

Several of us in the office are having this issue, we are all using Animate 22 from Creative Cloud. The issue is Animate always behaves as if it's saving normally, but sometimes (maybe 10% of the time), when we open the file again we see the work has not been saved at all. This happens on our local and our internal server drives, so doesn't matter the location, and has happened to all of us at some point this year. Extremely frustrating as there are no error messages or indicators that the file is not being saved correctly. We've done extensive testing and it is definitely not user error. Also it seems once it happens once to a file it will keep happening until we copy/paste the contents into a new file. Has anyone come across this issue or have any suggestions?

i work extensively with animate and have never had that occur.  but it's problematic to save with the same file name repeatedly, so i append increasing version numbers to fla's and recommend everyone do something similar.  ie, for project1.fla save as project1_v000.fla, project1_v001.fla etc.  periodically close and open the latest version to ensure it's not corrupted (which is a more common problem).
