Animate Crashing

Im having trouble getting Animate to work, whenever I open the app it automatically freezes and I cant do anything on it, if I press any buttons or even try to click the X to close down the window im not able to and im hit with the windows bing noise. The only way I can close down the app is by ending the task in task manager...if anyone knows a way to help that would be really useful thank you.
