Animate default frame rate
I'm wondering if anyone knows why the default frame rate for a new banner ad is 24 fps when the createjs specs state "...variance is usually lowest for framerates that are a divisor of the RAF frequency. This is usually 60, so framerates of 10, 12, 15, 20, and 30 work well."
My experience has born this out as well. 24fps is almost always jittery. 30fps almost always fixes it.
The issue is particularly relevant for me at the moment because I have a spec sheet that requires a max of 24 fps, but I really don't understand the significance of that number. A number which originates in traditional film I believe, but seems to have no correlation to digital animations on computer screens that generally render 60fps.
the only answer I can come up with is that publishers might impose this number to limit resource intensive banner ads, but I dunno.
Any thoughts you might have would be appreciated.
