Animate Deleting file

Hello all I hope everyone is well. While working on a file in Animate cc ,latest version, sometimes a message appears. "The file you are working on can not be found re-save under different name not to lose data" I literally have the folder open on the desktop and see my file go POOF! As if the application decided to delete it. Please help if you can. I love animate but how can I work like this. Thank you so much for any help

      12.6 Monterey. I'm glad you didn't experience that. It's so annoying and troublesome. Other people have also responded with a similar experience so I know it's not just me. So weird.

      save your fla files frequently with increasing version number appended. periodically close and reopen the latest version to confirm it's not corrupt.  if confirmed, you can delete previous versions.

      p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post if it helps you get responses.
