Question

Animate does not compile any changes on timeline or script

Hi all,

I am busy with a canvas project for work and have to switch between the office and home office every few days.

At my home office no problems of this kind, but at the office PC I lately cannot compile any changes made to the project anymore. Meaning, I change something on the canvas directly (like a text in a text field) or I change something in the script, it will not compile when I run it with "Ctrl-Enter".

ONLY when I save all changes and exit Animate completely it will run the changes correctly after a restart.

A "little" frustrating to have to work like this.

Strange thing is that this behavior occurred only a few weeks ago. Before, also at the office, I never had this problem. And at home still everything works just fine.

And it is a copy of the same project, of cause.

Anyone has ancountered this, and/or has a solution for this frustrating phenomena?

    Hi.

I can only think this is an installation issue.

Try reinstalling Animate or switching to another version.

Please let us know the outcome.

    Regards,

    Hello again,

If someone else maybe encounter(ed) the same problem...

I finally found a solution (or work-around?, not sure) for this problem.

Had to change the "overrwrite HTML file on publish -> Include Javascript In HTML" to "Stop Including Javascript In HTML" and publish one time. After that change the settings back and publish again.

Now everything works normal. Problem solved, at least for the time beeing...

    Cheers!
