Animate does not launch

restart your computer and retry launching animate.

if that fails, reset your animate preferences:  http://helpx.adobe.com/flash/kb/re-create-preferences-flash-professional.html

or remove

Win:

C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Adobe\Animate CC \ and
C\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Animate\\

Mac:

/Users//Library/Application Support/Adobe// and
/Users//Library/Preferences/Adobe/Animate//

if that fails, do a clean animate install:

uninstall animate including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html
clean your computer of animate (only) files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
restart your computer (don't skip this)
use the desktop app to install your animate
